Travis Scott’s ‘One Night Only in Utopia
Travis Scott’s ‘One Night Only in Utopia, a busload of elementary school kids chanted along to his “FE!N” anthem while cruising through Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
Scott solidified his stadium status by performing for over 60,000 fans during his second U.S. stadium show—following his debut at California’s SoFi Stadium last November—on a mild Wednesday night (Oct. 9). This performance marked the conclusion of his successful Utopia era, as it was his final U.S. concert linked to his fourth LP. Which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 496,000 units sold in its first week.
At 33, Scott became the first rapper to headline MetLife Stadium. Defying expectations and setting benchmarks for future artists through both his music and business acumen.
Known for his immersive concerts, Scott captivated Gen Z fans. Many of whom waited hours for exclusive merchandise and enjoyed a ride on a slingshot he brought from a local carnival. Even after a decade in the industry, Scott remains connected to youth culture, essential for any artist’s longevity.
He expressed gratitude for finally headlining MetLife, a long-held dream despite skepticism about his ability to sell out stadiums. “I dreamed about this moment for a very long time,” he told the crowd.
Delivering on his promise, La Flame treated fans to a thrilling 90-minute set filled with hits, surprise guest appearances. An impressive fireworks display, making it a night to remember.
Scott Solidifies His Stadium Headliner Status
If you told a rap fan back in 2015 that Travis Scott would soon be selling out stadiums worldwide. They likely would’ve been skeptical. Reflecting on his journey, Scott took a moment to express gratitude to his fans for sticking by him. Especially after his initial plans for a MetLife Stadium show were derailed by scheduling and weather issues in 2023.
“I wanted to do this last year, but they said it was too cold or whatever. I didn’t care, but it is what it is,” he said. “I told myself I wouldn’t give up on coming back to make this MetLife show happen, even though a lot of people thought I was crazy. But one thing I know for sure—I’ve got the realest fans of all time.”

They’re Craving More
It wasn’t the 10 performances of “FE!N” that fans saw in New York City or Milan. Scott still shook MetLife Stadium with seven electrifying renditions of the Utopia hit, energizing all of Bergen County. Midway through the first five performances, King Vamp himself, Playboi Carti. Made a surprise appearance, pushing the crowd to near-deafening levels. Scott returned to the track again to close out the show, leaving fans wanting more.
There’s No VIP Section
One of the more surprising moments of the night occurred when Travis called out the fans sitting on a VIP riser. While it wasn’t clear if they weren’t enjoying the show to his satisfaction, La Flame didn’t hold back in blasting them: “I f–king hate VIP. There’s no VIP at Travis Scott shows,” he exclaimed, clearly expressing his disdain.
King Vamp Makes a Rare Appearance in Gotham
Playboi Carti, known for his reclusive nature, doesn’t often respond to many. He consistently shows up when Travis Scott or Kanye West call.
There were rumors circulating that King Vamp and Future would make appearances, and the online sleuths were correct. Even before the show started, chants of “We want Carti” echoed through the venue, as New York has become a sort of second home for him.
Carti emerged from the smoke during the fifth performance of “FE!N,” sending the already wild crowd into a frenzy. True to his gothic style, the Atlanta native sported a black tank top and matching leather pants, topped off with a fitted cap and towel draped around his neck, reminiscent of early 2000s fashion.
Since Playboi Carti’s fanbase is closely tied to La Flame’s, a collaboration between Opium and Cactus Jack feels like a natural fit. It’s just a matter of time before Carti solidifies his place among rap’s elite with the highly anticipated follow-up to Whole Lotta Red.
Dedicates ‘Apple Pie’ to His Parents
Scott surprised his day-one fans by performing “Apple Pie” for the first time since 2016. He dedicated this rendition of the 2015 Rodeo deep cut to his parents, who were both in the audience. In a heartfelt moment, he expressed gratitude for their unwavering support of his dreams and for putting up with his antics during his childhood.

Future Joins a New Big 3 with Travis and Carti
After Travis Scott made guest appearances on a few dates of Future and Metro Boomin’s We Trust You Tour. Pluto returned the favor by joining him at MetLife Stadium as a special guest on Wednesday night (Oct. 9).
Alongside Carti, the trio electrified the crowd, outshining any Jets or Giants game that had taken place on the same field by performing their collaboration “Type S–t.” This standout track, which originally featured on We Don’t Trust You earlier this year. Climbed to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Travis, Future, and Carti formed a rap supergroup on stage. Showcasing a glimpse of the A-listers who are shaping the genre as it heads into the mid-2020s—despite each artist bringing a unique approach to their craft.
