Introduction

Aftershock 2024 Festival returns to Sacramento from October 11-13, bringing together heavy metal and rock fans for an unforgettable experience at Discovery Park. With an impressive lineup featuring headliners like Slipknot and Five Finger Death Punch, this annual event promises thrilling performances and a vibrant atmosphere.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Aftershock Festival kicks off its second day in Sacramento, drawing thousands of heavy metal and rock enthusiasts to Discovery Park.

Promoted as the “West Coast’s largest rock festival,” this annual event spans four days, concluding on Sunday, Oct. 13, and for the first time in its history, a fifth stage has been added.

Aftershock 2024 Location

The festival takes place at Discovery Park, located at 1600 Garden Highway in Sacramento.

Aftershock 2024 Lineup

This year’s Aftershock boasts what organizers describe as the “biggest lineup” yet, featuring a total of eight headliners—two each day. This year’s headliners include Slayer, Pantera, Slipknot, Five Finger Death Punch, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motley Crue, and Disturbed.

Parking

Parking at Discovery Park is limited to ADA parking only, and camping is not permitted. There are limited paid parking options in surrounding lots, with both four-day and single-day parking passes available.

Access to parking is via West El Camino Avenue, as festival organizers advise against driving on Garden Highway. Nearby lots are not managed by the festival, so parking there is at your own risk.

ADA parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis for a daily fee, with designated spaces near the Jibboom Street festival entrance.

Other Transportation Options

One option for getting to Discovery Park is the Park & Ride shuttle program, located at Cal Expo, 1600 Exposition Blvd., Sacramento. Each Park and Shuttle Pass includes free parking at Cal Expo and shuttle service to and from Discovery Park. Shuttle service starts one hour before gates open and continues for about 75 minutes after each night’s conclusion. Click here to purchase shuttle passes.

For those using rideshare services like Lyft or Uber, designated rideshare lots are located at 500 Bercut Drive and near Natomas Park and West El Camino Avenue. Festival-goers biking to the event can utilize a bike valet near the Jibboom Street entrance.

SacRT is offering additional bus service from downtown Sacramento to Discovery Park, with departures from the 8th and K Street bus stops, dropping off on Jibboom Street near the ARCO gas station on the south side of the park.

Entrance

There are two entry points to the festival: Jibboom Street and Garden Highway. Please note that once you enter the festival each day, re-entry is not permitted. Gates open daily at 11 a.m.

Tickets for Aftershock are required for entry, and the festival is open to all ages. Note that tickets for the festival and shuttle passes are sold separately.
